am I the only person on the planet that didn’t know until today that brooms stand straight up around this time of year because of changes in gravitational pull? um. this broom may never get put up. i can’t wait for chris to come home from work and see if he thinks it’s cool. he probably won’t. but that’s kind of how he pretends he’s cooler than me.
Mirrors? Wires? Crazy Glue? How did you do that? I can’t even stand up straight for cryin out loud!

Balance points do differ from time to time by gravitational pull but normally not enough. You probably just simply set the broom on its balance point or the design of the broom and the floor at that spot have a large balance point area.
This is nerd speak to say you probably got lucky.
but i can do it on any hard floor in my house over and over again. even chris made it work. i’ve been googling it and no one can decide if it’s physics or gravity or a hoax of some sort. but time and time again i always see it has something to do with the gravitational pull. i wish i knew for certain. in the mean time it’s a pretty rad trick.
